Hi my name is Lyra, and I'm perfectly sane, I swear, just a little spazzy. 8|
Of course if you asked my characters they'd tell you I'm some whacko kid running in and out of their lives claiming I 'created' them and must be some psycho who is under the impression they are god.
So, you'd like to rp with me? O-Mail please! :D Or Leomail of you play leopets(I'm woofiedog4). Feel free to note me and rp/chat on deviantart if you have an account.
I'm putting her first to scare you all with the massive amount of information.

A power driven hypnotist, Cyrene acts purely on self interest. She's a very machiavelliesque character. Cyrene is astonishingly beautiful, curiously, Cyrene is disgusted by and also afraid of lust, all though she plays on the lust of others to get what she wants. It simply disgusts her(probably because she saw so much of it in Daiyu. Women were frequently used and abused, including Shia and(later on) herself.) Cyrene hypnotizes others by pushing her own will power, and a bit of special persuasive magic she was born with, using her eyes to direct this into the other's pupils, but over time has learned how to dissipate her power to push it through anything(this power weakens, however, the further away she is from Argos) Cyrene was born in an extremely isolated region roughly near Shenkuu named Daiyuu that's pretty much unknown to the world. Daiyuu relied on itself, and had no contact with the outside world but for the very occasional merchant or trader. (Think Japan, only landlocked with higher mountains, endless forests and constant mists and rainfall.) It was an unfriendly place, once rich but starting to fall to pieces. Women had no legal power, and were utterly helpless unless they were extremely rich. Only the richest of them could earn property and only AFTER their husbands death. So there was a lot of offing of husbands going on. Valyts, rich women, gained power by hiring countless others to do whatever dirty whim needed to be acted on. In general the whole city was very petty and savage beneath their fake finery.
Cyrene was born out of all the social chaos into extreme poverty, where life revolved around just surviving. She doesn't remember much from this time in her life, because at the age of 5 she was taken by Shia, a powerful Valyt, from her mother. She never saw her family again. Cyrene was raised to be Shia's perfect obedient apprentice, and as she progressed over the years finally met a strange man on the street. Everybody thought he was crazy, but Cyrene took him in and discovered that he was in fact, an extremely intelligent man as well as a geologist. She was fascinated, seeing as science didn't really exist in Daiyuu. Cyrene managed to find out from this man that one of the mountains nearby was in fact, a dormant volcano. After many studies he concluded it was going to explode in a few years, and destruction of the city would be absolute.
Cyrene acted naively, she immediately began to spread the word to all the Valyts and to all the lower classes, but only after a day the council of her town received word of this and called her to see them. Due to their own interests, they immediately stuck her in jail. The council had known of this all along and had been preparing for their escape, planning on leaving the rest of Daiyuu to it's doom. Cyrene was furious. They threatened her into being silent, but when they found her spying on them later they didn't let her go. Cyrene was beaten and thrown into jail, where she rotted for 8 years of her life. Escape was unrealistic and impossible, but after the second year Cyrene discovered a buried power she possessed when she somehow managed to convince a guard to stop beating her. This power was hypnosis, and it had to do with her eyes and pupils. Cyrene spent the next years in jail constantly practicing this tricky power. It took her three years to even get it strong enough so that she could convince the guard to let her out of her cell and then unlocked her second power- the ability to steal magic from those she had utterly hypnotized. Cyrene slowly began to leech the guard's power, a little every day, until she gained as much of his weak shapeshifting powr as she could, giving herself a second form, one with vivid butterfly wings. However, there were a few things Cyrene didn't have the strength to change, like her eye color or the black triangles on her face. And a new marking appeared, it's the symbol for betray, but it only partially appears when Cyrene looks at it normally, part of the symbol is erased. The rest can only be seen when Cyrene focuses on the essence of who she is, or when another also knows her that well. Because of this the whole symbol is only visible for one person other than herself. It's invisible to most people, those who might suspect she is not who she says she is might glimpse it out of the corner of her eye.
Finally after a VERY long time Cyrene had gotten good enough to easily freeze and control those with pupils. She used the guard as her minion, and with his help killed the entire council of her town. Unfortunately, Cyrene was overconfidant and didn't even suspect others in Daiyuu might have had powers(magic had supposedly died out there centuries ago) and one of the council members survived. To this day his aim is revenge on her.
Cyrene had originally planned on spreading the information about the volcano as usual and saving the town, but all those years in jail had given her a major reform in values. She now frowned upon pettiness and the revenge that she saw lead so many to ruins in Daiyuu, and evolved into the practical, realistic power seeking figure she is now(all though back then still unrefined.) Cyrene would have probably still saved the town if it hadn't been for the biggest blow that Shia gave her...
There was only one person Cyrene met up with after escaping from jail, and that was Shia. She didn't get the expected welcome from her mentor, Shia thought Cyrene had failed her, and all this volcano nonsense and then getting caught reflected badly on her mentor. Shia told Cyrene to go back to the streets, and Cyrene said she would do so, she would disappear among the countless masses and they would never see her again. Cyrene viewed this as betrayal, since Shia was essentially the only real parental figure in her life, and decided it wasn't worth saving that kind of people, and if 'doing the right thing' had gotten her in this amount of trouble then it was self destructive and stupid.
Part of what Cyrene told Shia was correct. Cyrene left without breathing a word of the volcano to anyone, well aware the date for explosion was only (roughly)four years from now. She escaped and located all the stops where the council had hoarded food and made preparations for dwellings on their journey out of Daiyuu, hypnotizing all she met and taking all the food and supplies she could find. Cyrene was well aware she was leaving her whole town to their deaths. And yes, they did die. The volcano exploded a year earlier than planned. There was an extremely small handful of survivors, mainly those who lived on the outskirts. Everybody else perished.
Cyrene, in the meantime, began her long series of travels across Shenkuu that continued for the next 5 years and at one point used her powers for therapy, leeching power from her patients while hypnotizing their fears and flaws away.
She went on to worm her way into various societies, stealing magic from the leaders, and leaving them in ruins, all in preparation for her goal: to conquer Masaruchi.
Cyrene was walking through some thick forested wildnerness as she often does when she stumbled upon a vampire named Eternithium. He attacked her- turning her into a vampire, but under bizzare circumstances couldn't kill her. Seeing as newborn vampires are fairly uncontrolled he convinced her to let him train her, planning to use her for something...
Later, he decided he needed an heir, and raped her. About three months afterward Cyrene ran into a xweetok she had met before named Argos. He was absolutely furious at what she had suffered at the hands of Etern and took care of her all during the pregnancy (and afterwards helped take care of the children.) Argos also begged for her to spare the lives of the children, and Cyrene complied. She underwent many months of pain, since pregnancy is a lot more grueling for vampires than mortals. The shock resulting from the rape not only left her scarred, it brought back many previously forgotten memories of the similarly barbaric city and life she had left behind, leaving her with a slightly stronger distrust of men in general. Cyrene had 9 kits, an unusually high amount, but the circumstances are unusual. Most vampires are sterile, but Etern was able to have kids because he is an original vampire, turned into one by Ares, not bitten. The chances are high none of her kids will be able to have kits though. Once the kids were born he only stayed until shortly after they were named for the simple reason Cyrene didn't want him around. Obviously. Eternithium chose Remi as his heir and left with him, but Remi proved incompetent, refusing to drink blood like a normal vampire and suffering disastrous consequences. Cyrene has thus far proved to be a pretty bad, unloving mother, without a single shred of affection for any of her kits(except for a somewhat dispassionate, cold approval of Kieran), despite Nexa's constant efforts to please and be just like her. One of the kids, Hyde, was lost, he stayed around her for a while but went missing one day when he wandered too far. Hyde was in fact, kidnapped. Cyrene wasn't sure what happened to him, but has currently in a future roleplay met up with a xweetok named Ethne who says she knows him. Despite the kids's unloving mother, Argos is an absolute sucker for them. Cyrene has two threats regarding her kits hanging above her head. Etern has made it clear if she kills them he'll kill her. And Argos ...would not be happy at all if she harmed a single hair on their heads. That includes turning them into mindless minions. As the years continued and her kits finally gained some self independence Cyrene joined the sinisters, and was quickly elevated through their ranks into their high council, gaining new authority, dark powers and a third form that helps control and channel her darker energies more effectively. She gave the sinister leader her kit Lyra as an apprentice in exchange for a special kind of power, the darkness of Annwn. This power works like a key and gives her greater access to the power of others as well as strengthened shadow abilities. Because of this Cyrene gained a weak Annwn form, which is extremely unusual because females aren't supposed to have them(normally, there is another known exception...)
And also- Etern has come back again. What he wants isn't clear, but Cyrene sure isn't happy to see him.[Roleplay in progress]
Later in the future once the kits were old enough to take care of themselves Argos finally continued on his quest to die(being immortal.) After making a deal with the Ancients he completed a task and finally died. A distraught Cyrene found out and attempted to bring him back and appealed to the Ancients, but ultimately it was his choice. He did, however, come back for her sake, but no longer immortal.
After all of that happened Hyde finally plucked up the courage to face his mother, and engaged her in a full on battle/suicidal mission, not caring about his own life the slightest bit. After a rather long battle she finally used a strange skill not displayed before to get directly inside his head, and after a few moments vicious fighting he began pleading for it to stop while fighting her to the bitter end. It was then that Cyrene threatened to kill Ethne unless Hyde stopped fighting and turned over his power to her. Hyde finally gave in, and Cyrene took everything she could get her hands on before finally vanishing in a flash of light. By now almost the entire family had showed up, so she reappeared later to see what was going on. Her two great grandchildren (grandchildren of Hyde) Haseo and Satoshi showed up, Haseo persisted in trying to contact Cyrene despite Satoshi's efforts to stop him. Haseo and Cyrene cut a deal, he promised to show her one event in the future(her choice) if she 'unscrewed' one of his powers. Cyrene agreed, and at Argo's prompting(since he showed up shortly after the fight) asked Haseo to show her Argo's future death as a mortal.

Ryhz is also from Nocwyn, though currently neither she nor Matsuyama was originally aware the other is alive. She does not know how/who destroyed the village, and she is a vessel for a special kind of magic. Having endured trials in her childhood with a light, invincible spirit, the power of the wishgranter awoke in her. She is full of joy, goodness, and peace, so that meeting her eyes can be terrible, as the light inside her spills out. She has an affinity for nature, is relentlessly optomistic, and is modest, well aware that her power wields her, not the other way around. She does not know the true value of her power, and merely meeting her is enough to instill hope and peace in an individual. Only pure wishes can be granted, and there are limits. She however, has one major flaw. She has little patience for those who have given up entirely, but as long as you have a shred of hope she will tolerate you, and become a loyal guide and friend. Ryhz also cannot sit in the same spot for too long, when she does, she gets antsy, and eventually, a headache. ADHD? What Ryhz doesn't know is that she is in fact- reincarnated, and had a whole other past life on the other side of neopia. Like all vessels of her kind(which are few and far between) once she dies she will reincarnate if she so chooses, the only way to pass on is to give up her powers after death.
Rhyz was absent during the destruction of the village and on returning had no idea what had happened. She left the mountains and met Erisedfothgis on the way to the forest, where she settled down and ran into Matsuyama later.

Califer, the Masaruchi sorcerer with 12 lives. Califer's parents were gypsies, and freespirited as well as careless. They abandoned him and his sister Mekai in the city itself, at night. HachiHotaru found them, and also saw their parents leave the city, and not for a drink like they had said. Califer was innocent, gullible and carefree, Mekai lied to him, telling him their parents would be back someday and were training them to become sorcerers. Califer never doubted her. All 3 ended up in an orphanage, and eventually were trained as sorcerers. Though Califer is more powerful, Mekai has always taken charge and watched over him, hiding most of their parent's flaws. Califer has mental impairments, because of these it's hard for him to know /how/ to use his magic, understand the concept of evil, and understand others in general. He's under the impression he's the only conscious one and everybody else are just programmed to act how they do and the world is a stage for his benefit. He's bad at knowing other people's emotions, how to behave, standards, and is completely gullible. Califer doesn't understand the concept of OTHERS. He's under the impression that he is the only 'actual' person and everybody else just acts they way they do like robots, he doesn't, and can't, think of them as actual people like himself. Califer doesn't understand morals, other people's feelings, he does and acts normal only because he is basically trained to do so, but can't think of these things on his own. Since he's going to be the future leader of Masaruchi, this is a huge problem that is kept secret, and his sister is expected to constantly cover for him and tell him what to do while fooling the rest of Masaruchi.

Mekai, a sorceress with 9 lives, also from Masaruchi. Her past and parents are mentioned on Califer's data. Their carefree nature meant she had to take care of her brother, and she keeps most of their past a secret, even to him. Mekai grew up at a young age, but has a love of gardens. By contrast, her appearance is much younger than how she really is, she maintains a look of 17 thanks to her anti aging healing and cooking skills, appearing the same age as her brother. Mekai loves cooking, and food, as well as being responsible and polite. Her willingness to confide in people fools them, because in reality, only she knows all her secrets, and for every one she reveals, there's usually ten more still hidden. Mekai has few qualms about lying to people 'for their own good' and tends to be aloof, it's hard to understand her, and hard to earn her heart, but you can try boys. (And fail miserably). Mekai is expected to constantly cover for her brother, and essentially the whole responsibility of Masaruchi is some day going to depend on HER. She's constantly under pressure because of this, and feelings like she has to save everybody with nobody to save or look after her.
Hachi is a 9 lived sorcerer, and a good friend to Mekai and Califer. Born illegitimately, his mother died upon giving birth, but her last words were a command to her maids to keep Hachi hidden, so as to preserve her honor even after her death. Hachi was raised in secret, sneaking out of his mother's mansion when the maid's weren't looking, and playing in the garden, where he first met Mekai and Califer. All three were found there by the garden caretaker, who didn't know about Hachi, and had them all sent to an orphanage where they were tested and adopted by prominent sorcerers later.
Hachi was on a journey with Chira when he stumbled across his brother, Reiyn. They had no idea they were brothers but after some chatting finally figured it out. Hachi took Reiyn with him back to Chira's, and suddenly their unknown father Fai appeared. The boys were shocked, and rather angry at their new found dad, who warned them of the sinisters. Chira said they should get back to Masaruchi and warn people of this new threat right away, especially because if sinisters consumed a more powerful Masaruchan citizen they might become extremely strong. What they didn't realize was that Reiyn's sister Sakura was following them to Masaruchi, and beyind her Emmiyo, Sakura's dad. Poor Fai had no idea his wife had moved on, so when they all met up he had quite a shock. Things were complicated by the appearance of Byakura and Arcatis. As strange things began to happen in Masaruchi, the appearance of sinisters and several violent attacks by the sinisters on Masaruchi prompted Zen, the leader to call for a meeting.
Chira decided to send Hachi, one of the most responsible of her pupils to The Xweetok Forest in order to gain more information of the sinisters. He has only just arrived...

DESIGN MADE BY URAYA- SHARED BY MAY AND I. Zelefara gained her various powers over combustion, auroras, electricity, fireworks and lightning one day as a lightning bolt hit her and fused her fire powers with electricity. Her body became charged with electricity as well, so if you touch her you'll get a shock. Her new powers were uncontrollable, and after accidentally destroying several buildings, and injuring (and killing one) townsperson by mistake, she was run out of town. She wandered around, usually pursued by others, since she visited places all over, eventually wreaking general havoc despite her happy-go-lucky nature. She would always put on firework displays for the kids though. She likes storms, and plays with lightning, forming it into weird shapes. Zelefara cannot feel cold easily, and power leaks out of her when she sleeps, making her highly dangerous. Because of this, she likes to sleep in high, deserted places for the safety of others. And she really like spicy food! 8) Zele dislikes cold weather, and winter in general because there's less lightning in winter.

Dymungo is a xweetok who was taken from his parents at a young age, spending most of his life with a twisted sorcerer who wondered what would happen if someone surrendered to their own magic. Dymungo is the result of his experimentation, because of this having magnified magical powers, but also posession by his own magic form time to time. This will cause him to lose consciousness as his magic wreaks havoc, killing, burning, and destroying. Alternate tests on him have given him deafness in his left ear, but increashed the hearing in his right so that it doesn't matter. Dymungo also is immune to any kind of poison, and was intended to be the sorcerer's slave, taking care of all the dirty work. His endurance was increased, he's tougher and stronger than a normal xweetok, and slightly larger. His personality remains bitter, and resentful of the horrors he commits. He is occasionally sarcastic, wary, and hates people who treat him like a monster just because of his appearance, however accurate their assumption may be. He was traveling with Xivri and Reck out of TXF since all three were being pursued, Xiv and Reck by the Silent, and Dy by Matsu, whom they stumbled across...

Her personality is ambitous, confidant, and easily offended, as well as intelligent. She detests hypocrites, and treats them with scorn and contempt. If you should lose her trust, you will not easily get it back again because she finds it hard to forgive and forget, despite the fact that she can be very understanding. She has two strange abilities, one of which is to be able to see what a person wants most, and she often uses this against them in arguments or debates, which unfortunately, she is very good at. (Can you tell she's partially based off of the Mirror of Erised? I'm such a Harry Potter fan. xD) Erised's second ability is her oddest. We humans, and animals of most sorts, see the color of the light reflected off an object. Erised sees all the absorbed colors instead. So if you looked at a green bush, she wouldn't see the reflected green, she would see a rainbow spectrum with every color BUT green. White is when all colors are absorbed, so instead of white she sees a perfect, complete rainbow. Black is when all colors are reflected, so she cannot defect a color, therefore she can't see black, only white. I came to that conclusion because when our eyes can't detect a color, we see white, so it would be the same case for her. Erised used to live in a village south of Nocwyn, (my character Matsuyama is from Nocwyn) and it was her birthplace, named Isylbue. To her parent's dismay, she became known for a sharp tongue, witty and barbed disposition. Anyone not favored by the town's leader was suppossed to keep a low profile, but she did not. She spoke out against him and his wife repeatedly, getting the better of them in every argument, untill finally, she blackmailed them to try and change the village's unfair customs. They managed to kidnapp her, and smuggle her away beyond the mountains, but she escaped before they could take her any farther. She decided her home was a lost cause, and found her way to TXF. Meeting up with Ryhz on the way there, she learned of her village's destruction by Dymungo, and she felt sorry for Ryhz that Nocwyn was gone, but felt little pity for Isylbue.

Pyro began as a pet on a friend's account, who later quit, and gave me the rights to roleplay her, on one condition: that her personality remain the same. Pyro is a happy go lucky, preppy, energetic spazzy girl who's mom left the family. This seemed to have a very negative effect on her dad's mind, he went slightly insane, and social services wanted to take her away from him because he was, 'and unsuitable parent.' Pyro would end up with her strict Aunt and Uncle. Being free spirited, she ran away, and lived on the streets, never daring to beg for food in public due to the fact her Aunts were looking for her. Currently, she stumbled across Aeoro's house during his abscence, and broke inside to steal what looked to her a cheap clock, just enough to buy some food. Pyro still felt guilty however, and would have felt even more guilty if she had known that clock had been Aeoro's father's favorite, and therefore meant the world to Aeoro.

(Created on Leo) Born a simple black faerie xweetok, Toxica longed to stand out from the crowd. She is an extrovert, and very vengeful, despite her mental disability that prevents her from understanding languages easily. Toxica is illiterate, but is a genuis chemist, and extremely good at math. Her speech is usually soft, slurred, and hard to understand. She has become rather dark, though she had a happy childhood. There's no excuse for what she has become. An former ' ally' of Cyrene, Toxica used to do anything to become noteworthy or famous. She tattoed markings onto herself, and her powers make her dangerous to cross. She can alter and manipulate germs and viriuses to create 'super viriuses' and can even destroy immune systems. This girl can wipe out entire countries, though she can do nothing against long distance attacks if the opponent is out of her infection range. She is immune to just about anything. Toxica has self restraint, but doesn't use it. She loves wild parties, and can even get high on various substances, but then alter her system or create new germs that can somehow render the substance harmless so that she will have no side effects. Lyra: -.- That's no excuse! Stupid druggie. Tox loves music. That's probably an understatement. Of all of my characters, she gets on best with Cyrene, Volect and Zelefara. Eventually when Cyrene became a vampire Cyrene didn't have to 'step lightly' around Toxica because viruses couldn't kill her anymore, so she attacked Toxica's mind and made her a total slave. What Cyrene didn't realize was that Toxica could possibly attack her back by reversing their mental connection...
(Applying for design, by Urayamashii, created on Leopets) Vic's parents were astrologists and astronauts, who left Vic and his brother to live on the moon as part of a 3 year assignment. They entrusted the care of the two to their Uncle, Ty, who gladly took them in to live with him and his own children. Vic and his brother Chad, their Uncle Ty and Ty's two children all have powers somehow connected to space or the earth/atmosphere. Vic can absorb energy from meteors and comets, converting it to sheer physical energy or various light waves. He is a powerful fighter, but lacks endurance. Vic is slightly arrogant, social, and while competitive and high strung with other boys, he's more polite and subdued with the ladies. He is constantly coming to a head with Virche, who is basically the leader of the kids, but the others always side with Virche, and Vic sulks for a while before coming around, and eventually it starts all over again.

(created on Leopets) His story is the same as Vic's. :P Chad and Vic are actually very close, despite their large personality difference. Chad relies on Vic to keep his confidence up, Vic relies on Chad for advice, since Chad is much smarter, and willing to help. Chad as a 'tough' exterior, seemingly smart, and snobbish as well as antisocial to those 'not in his league' but behind that shell lies a hopeless romantic who spends hours staring at the stars, loves to love, and doesn't have very much self confidence. Vic is a lurker, usually on the edge of things. He's quite shy. Chad's life was 'normal' until one day as he was in another world with Virche he opened a portal back home only to have an inhabitant of the world they were in- Shengkuu- to fall in with them. Her name was Kasia, and in the ensuing panic after she fell in with them a drunk driver rode right down the street, swerved up on the sidewalk and hit Chad. Unconscious, Chad's portal closed, leaving Kasia stuck in their world. Chad was driven to the hospital and Kasia ended up staying with the Lohans. Hopefully Chad will get better so he can reopen a portal for her to go home, but right now he's still unconscious.

(created on Leopets) Ty's childhood was fairly unremarkable, he lived a normal life, went to college, all that stuff. His parents however, weren't around very often, and though his brother benefited, and learned how to fend for himself, Ty became irresponsible and careless, just getting through life, but unaware of impeding disasters. He married in his twenties, but his wife left him soon after his two children were born. Ty's carelessness and lazyness were enough to ensure he didn't really see, or try to prevent the relationship falling apart untill it was too late. His wife allowed him custody of the kids, and then vanished, never seeing them again. Clara and Virche were very young, so none of it really troubled him. After his wife left, Ty underwent a major personality change, becoming much more organized, though still a very mellow guy. Being such a great father after this, his brother and his brother's wife didn't hesitate to leave their kids with him. Ty after all, is a big sucker for kits, and is quite playful.
